The conference venue, City Hall is located in the central Civic Precinct of Newcastle . This precinct contains not only City Hall but the also the Civic Theatre and Playhouse (N6 Inner City Map).Accommodation
Accommodation in Newcastle frequently experiences very high levels of demand. The Conference Organising Committee recommends you book early to avoid disappointment. A map of Inner City Newcastle may be downloaded here. Rooms have been made available at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Clarendon Hotel and Quest Apartments. All properties are within easy walking distance to the conference venue, City Hall (N6 Inner City Map) The Crowne Plaza (N5 Inner City Map) is Newcastle’s premier hotel and is located right on the foreshore overlooking Newcastle Harbour. It is centrally located within a few minutes walk to the nearest train station, Civic, and the conference venue, City Hall. The Clarendon Hotel (O6 Inner City Map) is a “boutique style” hotel offering quality accommodation at a reasonable price. It is located closer to the conference venue, right in the Civic Precinct area. The Quest Apartments (K6 Inner City Map) are suitable for families or couples who wish to share accommodation. They are located about ten minutes walk away from the conference venue.

Friday Night Function
The informal Friday night function will be held on the Hunter River foreshore. Drinks and canapés will be served at the Maritime Centre followed by a sit-down meal at Silo Lounger and Bar, one of Newcastle’s best restaurants.
